5 Easy and Affordable Baby Shower Gifts

Every expecting mom eagerly awaits the Baby Shower, where she and her baby get all the care and the attention. Even if you are not formally a part of the shower, it is always a nice gesture to get a gift for the baby.

Some moms tend to be very organised about the whole affair and make a list of the things they will be needing for the baby. To make things easier both for yourself and the new mom, you can get something out of that list. In other cases, you will have to think of a gift. Here are a few safe and reliable gift ideas for a baby shower. I thought of these while at the Target store. I surveyed many parents with kids about their idea for a perfect baby shower present.

The great part about these gifts is that they are easy to find and are inexpensive at the same time. You can easily get them at the Target store under a budget of $50.

1. Clothes: Clothes are basic requirements for kids and they need a lot of them for they keep growing out of them every few months. So much so that there are multiple sizes for babies during their first year itself.

You can find 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 months and so on. Always remember to buy a relatively larger size because kids grow rapidly during the initial stages.

2. Teething Toys: Every kid is going to need these toys when they start growing teeth. Children need something to bite at during this stage. Always look for something which is a little soft. The new ones have rattles and bells. You can get any, depending on your choices. They come in various shapes and sizes, in the form of cartoon characters etc.

3. Diapers: Children are always going to need a lot of diapers. Diapers make for a very useful gift. Make sure you get the right size according to the baby's age. Also, there are many kinds of diapers available in the market, you might want to check with parents about the kind they prefer.

4. Stuffed Toys: Soft toys will always be loved by children. The extremely soft ones are very huggable and make excellent gifts. These days, you can find soft toys with inbuilt audio mechanism. However, if you prefer the old fashioned ones, Winnie-the-Pooh or Mickey Mouse would be a good example.

5. Baby Books: It will take some time for a young child to understand baby stories but nevertheless, baby books are always a great gift idea. It is a very fulfilling experience for parents to read aloud stories to their kids.

Here's hoping that you find the perfect baby shower gifts. Happy Shopping!
